Kemilau Sulawesi Exhibition - From 25th to 28th July 2013, the sparkling beauty of Sulawesi - one of the 5 main islands of Indonesia, will be revealed in the capital of North Sulawesi, Manado, at the Kemilau Sulawesi Exhibition VIII. Kemilau itself literally means “Sparks”; a perfect word to express the enchanting beauty that lies within all the provinces of Sulawesi.
Fully supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the event will feature various tourism products including natural destinations, cultural attractions, historical sites, culinary delights, and many more. All 6 provinces on Sulawesi , namely North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, South East Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and South Sulawesi will definitely take part to exhibit their finest tourism features.
There will also be a traditional songs competition, Little Miss Pageant, traditional cuisines cooking competition, and many other stimulating programs.
Formerly known as Celebes, Sulawesi with its bizarre shape of four spindly arms spinning outward is easily recognizable. But bizarre is beautiful and in its contortions are its character, with an incredible diversity of people, cultures and landscapes spread across its length and breadth.
